Governors

Brigita Amey

brigita Brigita Amey is the Chair of the Bishop of Rochester Academy's Board of Governors. She has lived in the Medway Towns since 1970 and had a successful career with British Telecom. Prior to retirement from BT she became a founder member of the Statutory Review Body for Teachers Pay and Conditions for England and Wales on which she served 10 years. She was Chairman of the North Kent NHS Trust which subsequently merged with the Dartford Trust to become Thames Gateway NHS Trust serving 10 years on these bodies and she was an independent member of the Rail Passenger Council.

Bryan Frost

Bryan Frost Bryan Frost is now retired as senior project manager of an International construction and management company has lived in Rochester for the last thirty years with grandchildren in Junior and Senior schools in Medway. He is a committed Christian and fully supports the ethos of the Academy and brings to it a wide experience of being a governor in both Junior and Senior schools in Medway

Canon Louise Gilbert

Louise Gilbert Canon Louise Gilbert MBA FCCA, is Diocesan Secretary for the Diocese of Rochester. She has served as a School Governor for many years formerly with an inner city Junior school in Sheffield and latterly with a Church of England Infants school in Chatham.

Dr John Moss

john-moss Dr John Moss is Dean of Education at Canterbury Christ Church University. He taught English and Drama in secondary schools for ten years finishing as a Senior Teacher at a large church comprehensive school, before joining the University. He taught undergraduate English and secondary initial teacher education courses before taking on the post of Head of Postgraduate Initial Teacher Education. As Dean, he is responsible for a Faculty with five large departments, several hundred staff, and thousands of students. He is a committed Christian who believes education can transform lives and wants to help the Academy do precisely that.

Dr. Peter Clough

Dr Peter Clough is an experienced educationalist and author.  He has taught in Schools and Higher Education and was at one stage Education Officer at the Natural History Museum.  In recent years he has been an Assistant and Deputy Director at the Department for Education, where in 2007/08 he was Head of School Improvement Division.  He is currently training as an Anglican Lay Reader, and worships at Blean Church, near Canterbury.

Peter Milburn

Peter Milburn Peter Milburn is the Director of the Medway Campus for Canterbury Christ Church University and member of academic staff within the Faculty of Health and Social Care. As Campus Director Peter has responsibility to ensure the University achieves its strategic vision in Medway, namely to ensure the Universities continues to act as a catalyst for growth, regeneration and achievement in the Medway Town and beyond. As an academic member of staff Peter has been appointed Programme Director's to the Medway GP Specialist Registrar scheme, a programme of study which enables qualified doctors specialise in General Practice.
